Pics of -2 back flip hull mods

Im wanting to hack my RN SJ up to do the -2 or -3 mod, plus do the chine curve mod/backflip hull mod. Has any one done this and can lend some ideas plus photos.


Also do i go for the -2 or the -3 chop?

once i start i plan to post the progress of the mods!

So matt you did a 2 inch chop?

Im going to try do it without defoaming and tray removal.

Thinking ill go for 2 1/2 maby 3inch chop!! Just have to see if ital work with the pump ok .


Anyone got any picks of the outside chine mod?? I think the bun hulls have it done to them??

That's not really a 'mod', it's more a hull molded that way.

I did 2 inches.

Darin, some people have modded stock hulls to have that weird chine.

heres what i did to the lip of the ski witch helped took alot of the drag off the ski.

I did -1" on my 750 which is already incredibly nose happy and love it in flatwater. In surf though, it's a bit more difficult to get my 750 to move forward again after a big jump. I did -3" on my SJ and cut the lip but haven't been able to try it out yet...hopefully this weekend. If you're skinny and don't weigh much, you can get away with cutting more.

What is the chine mod?
