Sweet, we should have a decent group. . .

Barry are you planning on making it over for some surf riding?
I haven't planned that far ahead. I like to see if I survive Memorial day before planning the Fourth of July.
Unless something else really, really good comes up I will probably go. Sounds like you would want to kick yourself afterwards for missing it.

I started a new job five weeks ago. It's rather intense but in a good way. By the end of the week I'm pretty spent. It's nice to get my techie skills pushed near their limits. When I'm done working I don't have a lot left to even think about things like this. As I catch on more I will have more of me left for playtime.

Northwest Riders!??

Matt E,

I'm getting ready to move (military) from Tampa (being reassigned to Okinawa, Japan for 2 years) and will be driving my jeep and ski home to Yakima, WA for storage. I doubt I can make the 4th of July Freeride, but I'd love to hook up with some Northwest Riders to get some final rides in, if ya know what I mean. I'm mostly flatwater here in Tampa, but it would be great to get into some surf too. I'm from the Northwest orginally, but have never done any freeriding up there and have no clue where to ride (surf) or who to hook up with. Can ya help a brother out?

R,

Mike

I live on the east side of the state and do not get to see the surf often.
Board members Crab, NW Dayton, Crashski, GasGas, Talsivar, and a few others would be better bets.

Surf looks like it will be around 5'. This morning at Pacific city it pretty much is flat, wonder if I should bring some buoys.

Sorry for not making it to Tierra yesterday. I didn't want to drag everyone along, so I just rode here in Lincoln City for a short while.
Fairly big surf for summer.
Coast guard cutter was out just past the second break, plus a helicopter, looking for someone.
On my way down to the beach the surf rescue guys came up (leaving) and told me to be careful.
"Lots of calls today".

Yeah, stupid me, riding by myself.
I stayed within the first break.

Went to Newport later in the day and took the kids/family to the aquarium and the old bayfront.

Probaly that surfer who had his arm severed by the Dory.
