300/440/550 picked up another freebie today

picked up a 94 550 hull today very clean orginal paint

im more of a sj guy but the ski has a 550 bottom end and a 440 top end is there a plus to this or is frankenstein motor? yes it runs and no tittle

the bottoms are the same lol
so it dont matter 90% of 550's out there are frankensteins so dont worry about that

i wouldn't say they are the same. The really old 440s had a different bottom end then the ones from the 80's. The 440s and 550 from that era used the same bottom until it changed to the reed motor and the stud spacing changed on those motors as well. It would be hard to say what you have without seeing it. Also 440 aluminum cylinders could sleeved turning them into a 550.

Already sold it bought a hull and tittle for $40 swapped vins sold for $500.. oh after I put a stock intake and carb on it it has a sidedraft with sbn 44
