Just got my engine back from PHP for some offseason reconditioning. Zack was a breeze to work with and stayed in contact throughout the time from before it shipped to delivery. Can't speak for performance yet but will give a review this spring. As for now, its been grade-A work and customer service. Hope to have rave reviews in about 5-6 weeks.
Before u ask. It was Mcdog's old billet 5 mil ADA / Jetworks engine. I sold my lamey end of last year and bought this off Mcdog. It was on last bore, needed new pistons/rings and crank rebuild, so instead of new sleeves and old school rehab I sent it to Zack @PHP for this:
1. Crank rebuild with Oem/koyo bearings
2. Reworked cases with fresh epoxy
3. Cylinder hone and Nikasil coat
4. New Wiseco pistons/rings
5. Powder coat
6. Reassembly
Pretty much a new engine to me. Before the rebuild this was prolly one of the hardest hitting sub-1000cc engines I've ridden. Always been impressed with the tuning and power this put out in Mcdog's Freak. He upgraded and I'm the "house dog" that picks up the scraps that fall from the dinner table. Ill mate it with my ATP Flame TL, 144 skat mag and bpipe. I like the convenience of a bpipe vs pfp but that may change depending on how it performs.
