Other Payment Ethics Question

When somebody says they call dibs on a item your selling how long should you wait for payment until you sell it to the guy that has 2nd dibs on an item?
Or just give it to the first guy who PP the seller?

Personally I try an send payment immediately

Just wondering...

I pay or inform the seller right away when exactly payment will be made.
You want dibs, you better be ready to buy.
That's my take on it anyway.

They better send the payment in the current conversation or make arrangements by a certain time. But in the end the person selling the parts makes the call.

Dibs in the thread itself means nothing to me, Dibs with a PM buys you 24 hrs depending on who you are or what you say.

Dibs with a "call me" or "PM me" usually gets a pass as well. I went thru the time to write up a thread, take and post pics, the least you can do is be interested enough to call or pm me.

This whole thing is also VERY dependent on the buyer.
If it's someone I know personally, or I know him to be reliable - then I have no problem with "dibs".
There are other folks that I would flat-out tell their dibs is no good, pay up.
