Custom/Hybrid Painting.... What Colors?!

So I'll be painting my ski in the next few days....

in case you dont know its a sj550. What should be my primary solid color? And what should I make my color scheme be? I am a fan of red with the black carbon bottom. It just really stands out.

However I have been itching to make something with some obnoxious neon Green/Orange/Pink decals and secondary design forever. Since my ski is usually (read: always) the loudest ski anywhere I go, I might do something really in your face.

I need to get this done sometime this week so I can take pictures and start trying to get sponsorships for my attempt to participate in the 2010 racing season...


Also, the nose will be carbon, matching the bottom.... so maybe some cool incorperation with that.


So tell me.... What would be the classiest, coolest, or Most obnoxious paint scheme?

Also, someone just told me hydroturf just came out with a brown camo design that looks just like woodgrain.... I think it might be killer to have a woody design with some beat up satin brown paint and some airbrushing on top....

do what colors you want. in the end who cares what everyone else likes its what you like. i painted my ski black orange and blue. or even look at blowsion paint jobs they got some really nice paint jobs,

Thats the thing... I could really go with whatever color? Though I'm not a fan of many blue shades...


When its all said and done, I like classy and simple color schemes as opposed to busy schemes like Ive seen on lots of blowsion skis and what not..

Unless of coarse its gaudy as hell and neon with lots of straight lines and sharp angles. <3 80s.


And yea, your probably right about the wood, but it was just an idea ive been toying with.

hmm... I have considered white. I always love old white boats with stock kawi graphics. They always look clean with minimal care... but I'm not sure if it will be a bit of an understatement next to all that carbon.

charcoal grey on top (always looks good with carbon) and then do your loud colors on that, it should really pop.

I saw you ski this past week-end if you do paint it s basic color put the stock graphics
back on it... Or something close sonce it's sooo close to stock..:cool2:
