painting the hull help

Hi im thinking of a color change on the underside hull, its a clean 650sx and the hull is clean and white at the momment, i wish to paint it black, my worry is how well will it last, or will it show through white quickly, as this would make the ski look tatty:ugh: .

1. should i flat it and paint it black
2. flat it and paint it white (getting rid of any scratches)
3. just leave the beast and ride

Also last night i removed all the side rail plastics and gave the hul a polish, should i truf it as i think that would look much better than the plastic trim,

Dont worry about looks too much.... the way we all beat on skis--> the looks dont last long....

turf those rails... easy to do...

the black is going to scratch and show white pretty quickly i think unless your very very
careful and dont beach it i would just leave it alone personally

I agree with leaving it the way it is. After 1 minute at the dock my freshly painted ski looks just like it should "USED"

i second the leave it as is. That is the cleanest 650 I have ever seen.

If you are set on painting the bottom black, why don't you just put white strips where the wear will show through to your primer (if your primer is white). That way the wear won't show as much.

They seem pretty cool and functional for grip. What don't you like about them?
