Painting supplies where and how much to buy??

Were is everyone getting paint? Online? Local shops?

How much (base & clear) should I expect to use on a ski (my first time)?

Ive got 2 superjets that I will be doing.

Any other recommendations on specific paint products are welcome, I used the TechFAQ and am pretty set on how to prep the hulls...

1 quart easliy does a ski .

If you can find someone who sells Kirker automotive paints they make an excellent paint for a very low price,the color selection is somewhat limited but I have been very impressed with their products thus far.

Dupont Nason series in inexpensive and durable, but like Wedo said, limited in colors.

I got it online and only needed a quart. Only did so because they had a product that gave me the flat look I was going for with my ski.

1 quart will do. go to napa and go to the paint dept.. they will mix TONS of paints up... UNLIMITED colors. thats where i got all my martin senour paints from for my ski when i did it

Now if you want to get fancy you can with Kirker,they have a line of candys similar to House of colors,you can intermix all the colors to get what ever shade you want and you can also apply it over different bases for different effects.It must be clearcoated afterwards however.

Contact them and they can tell you who the nearest supplier is,they even sent me enough samples of paint to paint my ski .
