Are you wanting a flat paint or are you set on flat black?

I painted my Kawasaki last winter and wanted something flat but not the conventional flat black. I found a place that offered paint already with a flattening agent in a wide variety of colors.

i've seen a couple squares painted flat black, and I thought it looked freakin awesome. Dupont makes a paint called hot rod black that replicates the same shade as flat black primer. Plus, it's UV resistant and won't absorb water, unlike primer. I'm pretty sure it's a single stage paint too.

If you want to do black or white, go with a Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy Spray paint, if you want flat black do the above.

Check out my build it has pictures of my ski with flat black that didnt hold up well, (It wasnt the dupont stuff that should hold up well) and the rustoleum should give you a good idea of what you want.

I'm going to be spraying my pole/hood/nosepiece flat black.

I'm going to try Kirkers Hot Hot Rod Black. Its actually a real paint and not a spray bomb. Should be pretty tough when done and holds up to UV very well.
