It has been a while since I have had a chance to log on here.
I still have my old JS550 I have been wrenching my nights away on. Over the summer I got it back into working order and took it out for a little fun in the sun on the river. Long story short I blew up the engine, almost sunk the ski, was stuck on a rock for almost two hours, detained by security at the Army Corps of Engineers, and now she sits in the garage working on an overhaul.
Engine has been bored and painted with a whole new top end ready to go.
I was wondering what people are using to paint their skis. I have had to do some pretty serious fiberglass work (fixing my quick patch from before), now moving forward to sanding down the paint. Saw a couple articles using auto paint, epoxy, or different mixtures of a couple compounds. I am taking it to a full white exterior and just going to slap some graphics on the outside.
Thoughts?
