My b pipe manifold is pretty boring looking so I want to dress it up bit, what is the best method for this with the heat factor? Paint/Powder Coat, Polish, or Ceramic coating? Will this have any affect on the cooling of the manfold?

Thought and/or suggestions?

Go with powder coating for some color.
I had my manifold ceramic coated and I wish I had it powder coated to give the motor some color.
Yes I know its not a B pipe but if you want some color Ide go with Power Coating.

Well the motor will have pleanty of color as that will be powder coated, and the chamber will be ceramic coated, and I want to manifold to be black instead of the casted metal look that it ships with, so I was thinking about going with a black ceramic coating. I am just concerned as to if this will affect the cooling of the manifold and its performance.

I had my bedplates, intake manifold, headpipe and chamber powder coated.

The only issue I would probably have with powdercoating the exhaust manifold has to do with cosmetics. Your two inside bolts are a pretty tight fit as it is. Powdercoating adds more thickness on the outside of the piece. I'd worry about my fitment and scratches while installing those bolts. I don't think it would be a real big issue. You could easily scrape the powder coating away on those areas. My opinion regarding the heat..... Your heat dissipation in not really on the outside. I wouldn't worry about it.

Anyone know of a place that does polishing and powder coating for a reasonable price in the Metro Detroit area?
