i have a nice party boat that is a great wave maker and camera boat
it would be nice to bring.
a few ?'s though could i just anchor off over night or would i have to pull it out?
btw if i do anchor i will be camping on it not unattended.

That would be your call to bring it or not. I can tell you one year the family next to us keep his boat at the marina wet docked at pb1. A short water front walk to campground he stayed at.

If you anchor it out I would imagine you'd have to have the lights on on it at night - just something to think about. Dont want someone to hit it.

That is if you leave it out there, you may be beaching or docking it.

Nice video... that is the year I wasn't there or you would hear me cursing and throwing stuff from the beach... MY ski ran really well last year.... NOT

both minutes.....

But a boat would be great to bring so that the people with broken down skis could get a ride over to party cove.

Thats pretty cool. This by no means shows the boat waves. That channel makes a sweeping left and the entrance to the largest party covebegains. I choose the wait and attack approach.

Rags,
In case you havent read before, its a CRAZY busy lake, large boats, hauling AZZ everywhere.

You need a good running ski ( able to restart fast) and a decent rider, you dont want to spend much time floating, or seperateed from your ski, youl get ran over.

buddy system always, and look out for each other.

I never even ventured over to party cove with the guys last trip, my ski was hard to get started, and I didnt feel safe out of the little cove area where we set up day camp.

its a VERY busy lake, just look at some of the sat photos for the amount of boat traffic.

Its busy but that shouldn't scare new riders off. There is plenty of space between the big boat highway and the shore. Its pretty easy to stay out of harms way. there was a little kid riding a superjet for the second time last year and he was fine.

right, there is plenty of area there to stay out of the way.
I was just saying its very busy, and full of traffic out in the main channel, and I think a boat would be a PITA there.

to ME at least.

and there is no way in hell id let my son ride out there, he can ride well, he would love it, but I just couldnt do it.

On a good day if my boat was any smaller than 30' I wouldn't attempt to go to party cove those waves are just to big at times for a small craft.

There is a ton of room if you stay away from party cove. That entrance can be super crowded... A really good place to loose a ski and a life if you don't pay attention. We wait out side of the cove and watch for boats dropping off of plane. The waves are HUGE. The farther you stay away from that spot the safer it is.

We need to revive that nifty "you could die here" picture that Speed posted a while back. I actually laughed out loud at that post.

Yea that was good.. I am glad that I can amuse you guys so easily...

looking at that picture.. My ski never made it to the ski that is drawn in red at the top it kept breaking down. All I wanted to do was cruise through Party cove a time or 5... And then Sunday when my new girlfriend :shhh: got me a boat to ride on mother nature canceled that idea with a hurricane... Just my luck..:loser: I may need to bring a backup ski this year...
