650/X-2 Out of options..

I am having some issues getting my ski started. I put new fuel lines on the entire thing this weekend. I have 3 gallons of fresh gas. two new plugs and a cleaned carb. Could this be a fuel pump issue? I am ready to take it to a marine mechanic! I already tried pouring mix gas down the carb. It stutters a little but never fires up. I am wondering if my battery is not strong enough to get the thing to start. It keeps going dead on me after a few minutes of trying to start it.

Your wording is a bit unclear. Did you do all this work because it wouldn't run or did you swap the fuel lines and now it won't run after?

If you are dribbling fuel into the carb then it should run so you can probably rule out any fuel related issues.

You need a few things for combustion so let's start there; do you have spark? Do you have compression? Do you have fuel? Do you have spark at the right time? Have you tried another battery?

yes, i have spark. there is compression. i am not getting fuel to the carb. I pulled the carb apart and there is no sign of gas in the jets. I just pulled the High and Low needles out and was amazing to see the corrosion that has built up. I plan to clean the carb again inside and out through every hole. I have not checked my reeds yet and was thinking the same thing. The next thing are the reeds. Thank you for the insight!

Carbs are so temperamental l drilled my carb main jet like .28 to .30 and it would barely run wouldn't idle or get on plane

If its a mikuni the popoff and everything has to be right

Sounds like you need to get gas into the carb aswell. Has to be between the gas and the carb

...chaos? Its Fair!
Rebuild the carb if you can't see fuel coming out then it is clogged up. While your at it replace your jets since you said they looked corroded

My SJ wouldn't start once because the button inside the kill switch was stuck. I opened up the little housing that has the start, stop, and kill switches, wiggled it around, and it started easily. Good luck.
