Opinions - Superstock Superjet

I just wanted to get some opinions on a ski I want to purchase. It's a 99 Superjet full on race boat in excellent condition. The hull is mint - I'm not sure how much it was actually raced. It has a Total loss ignition ,aftermarket pump/nozzle ,pipe, carbs, prop, scoop grate, ride plate, heads etc... I just wondered if this would make a good ski for fun riding. I like racing bouy courses with friends and ocasionally going out and playing in waves. I've been out of jet skiing for over 10 years . My last boat was a 440 with a ton of bolt-ons but nothing like this one. I rode my friends full race 550 back in the day and had a blast ! Also wondered about reliability ? How long does the battery last with the total loss ? I used to race snowmobiles and motocross and feel like racers take better care than most people . The second owner had it out 1 time and said it's too fast so its for sale. The price is right - Let me know what you think ?

You don't know exactly what type of motor work you are buying with a used Superstock ski, but for a good price it wouldn't scare me. You can always modify later to better suit your needs. Back when I raced, I would jump on one guys superstock and it hit like a mother at any RPM.....I would jump on the next guy's and it would be a turd down low. Usually handling set up will depend on what you want to do with it.
