One Way Install ???'s

Alright, I've done all the reading on the one way vs scupper and decided to try out a one way valve. So, I bought the 2" sump pump check valve (the round body one) from Home Cheapo. Question is - Where exactly are y'all putting that thing??? It's pretty damn big and I do not want to cut out any of my tray at this point in the game. Are y'all actually drilling that large a hole in the back of the firewall or what? Anybody have any pics as to where they put their's in at?

Here's where mine is .
I know it the picture shows a cut out tray but I guess you could always drill a big enough hole to fit it through the bulk head.

SJBrit, cut the hole from the rear of his, installed then fiberglassed it back up.

I went through the bulk head end, then used poxy putty arround it to hold it in. I did not cut my tray. Drilled a hole in the back where I wanted it and then drilled a hole in the bulk head. Used a piece of pipe and started gigging from both ends to connect them.

Installing the valve on the bulkhead side will keep it from blowing out. I mounted mine lower than most people, almost under the mid shaft.
