Blaster Oil injection removal

Just wanted to make sure how to do this correctly:

Remove oil injection pump assembly via 2 bolts in front case.

Replace with block plate.

Trace both vac lines back to their sorce, and cap them. Use clamps/zip ties. (Read that leaving uncapped would cause engine to lock up??)

Those are the main parts: also remove oil tank, lines, etc.

Fill tank 40:1-50:1 premix

Am I missing anything? :ugh: Looks pretty strait forward.

I think most mix 50:1 for stock motors, and 40:1 for most modified motors. I run 40:1 and seems not to smoke up too much.

You might be confusing that "vacuum line" with your pulse line for the fuel pump ???? Leave that off and it will only run for a minute or so.

Oil pumps are driven by the crankshaft and do not run off of vacuum in any way, one main feed line from the tank and one or two outputs that dribble oil in the throat of the carb/s.
Our Yamaha mikuni pumps are a pretty simple and primitive setup that will supply more than enough oil for most motors and somewhere down the line it has gotten a bad rap - like any other system in your ski you have to do preventative maintenance ( replace hardened hoses and clean in line check valves/filters) and it's one of those systems that is forgotten when it works but is catastrophic and POS when it fails ( or you fail it - maintenance).

I run 32:1 all day long in surf with good ol Pennzoil or Quicksilver and there is never anything in my pipe that I can't wipe clean with a paper towel !
