this may sound dumb but i am a bit confused, i cannot seem to find and oil plug on my 87 js550 I was wondering if there is even any oil in the bottom of the motor, or does the engine get all of its lubrication from the mixed fuel. It doesn't seem right to me. Any help would be appreciated. also I just bought the jetski and was wondering what i should mix the fuel at? my best guess from reading is 40:1.

you got it, 40:1 or 50:1 will work good, usually i run a 40:1 for the first tank on break in but then goto a 50:1 mix of a good tc-w3 2 stroke oil. There is no oil in the bottom end. The little plug on the front of the motor that looks like an oil fill plug is for checking the timing...do not put any oil in there.
