ODI Grips on X-metal bars

I can't get these things on, without beating the sh*t out of them and I don't want to damage them.

Any secrets?:banghead:

I had to take some 60 grit to those knurled bars. Then they kinda slid right on with some Windex ....... AND A HAMMER!!!:banghead:

I used a file, then 60 grit. You have to remove most, or all of the knurling.

the bars need to be ground down to fit UDI grips... Everyone I know has had that issue... no biggee

It's no biggie, that's why these ski's are custom.

I used a rubber mallet to hammer mine on with some windex used for lubrication .:biggrin:

Clamp on ones are a bit different. They wont fit over the knurls without breaking so the bars must be ground/filed down.

Has anyone tried opening up the clamps (ODI) to fit...... I used a flathead and carefully twisted it in the slot of the rings to make them clear the knurls....

That was still required after filing down the grips. These are never coming off!:Banane01: :Banane01: :biggthumpup:

I have ODI clamp on ones and they are on my X metal bars without getting rid of the knurl .

I did not file off the knurl and my grips went on with a rubber mallet .:biggrin:
