anyway other than the handling compared to a STANDARD octane do you think a 760 would be about the same power

should never of changed

The first two responses had nothing to do with the guys question, which was "do you think a 760 would be about the same power [as an Octane]?"

IMO, you're comparing to a 760 to a 777 Polaris motor, so yes, they should be about the same but you've rattled off a few enhancements to the SJ that will make it feel a lot more responsive off the bottom, especially with the lower weight of the SJ. But you didn't describe much about what has been done to the Octane as far as enhancements, like has it been ported like the 760? I still feel the Polaris 777 platform has more overall potential than the 62T but getting the right stuff for it can be an issue.

Sorry, I don't know about the dome sizes. There's not much point to milling, since the stock heads support interchangable domes. Just get smaller domes. At this point I will have to chime in with ev1 else and say that Randy@Watcon does get all my Octane business. He would know what size you would want.

It will be a sad day when he retires from PWC and I've heard that day isn't too far off.

He's got a SICK billet ADA cylinder big bore kit if your really ready for some horsepower. I think he might still have some cheap dual 42's as well you could use with them.

One thing you might want to think about, is that the Octane crank and flywheel are very heavy, so it does not rev up quick. Tell him you're interested in an aluminum flywheel. Once he gets enough buyers he will be able to order a set of them. There's only a few of us on the list right now.
