Octane Octane Acting up

pull the carbs. clean them up get jetting from randy.

Hey Shane1989 just wondering if u found your fix as my ski is now having the same issues.
Ski does not idle and I have to feather the throttle to get it to go then when it speeds up it's fine but it just bogs itself out when I start it or when I give it some gas takes forever to get it to start
I have rebuilt carbs twice to make sure I didn't miss anything
changed the fuel filter
changed the plugs
checked compression 130 in both
dumped all the fuel and added new stuff
checked reeds perfect
wondering if anybody else is having this issue.....
please help anybody. I'm now stuck riding my sit down

can someone tell me what jets come in the watcon kit? I have a bunch of kehien jets and parts from my 750 kawis. I was told that it needed to have a 2.0 needle and seat which i have. I need to know what popoff springs and jets. I think its was 75 low 138 high. Randy if you could please chime in! thank you -JW

I have a non-compete agreement with Watcon, and can no longer offer tech support.
John and I talk every day, and we discuss all matters.
I can tell you that most of you guys are having pop-off problems.. You need to purchase the correct srings from John, and follow his jetting reccommendations exactly!
Once you have the carbs at his specs, you will have the best luck removing the fuel tank check valve. Your fuel requirements can vary, depending upon the type of fuel you use, and your ambient temperature, location, etc but the Watcon kit (complete kit) works well in most areas.

Thank you Randy, I appreciate your honesty, And completely understand the agreement and what it means to uphold such. Thank you for the tip about the check valve. I have been back in forth over these carbs for awhile now, and was not aware about it, i will have to call john and order the kit (somewhat over as i had most parts to begin with) I was simply trying to complete the popoff puzzle.
On a side note, i was not aware until recently that WATCON is still the place for polaris stuff. I had thought when you turned it over that alot of the in house products were removed or stopped production. I bought my 02 octane off a guy and it has a bunch of WC stuff. hull drains, the jetting kit (which he removed partially when he sold it) upgraded hood hooks etc. Some of this stuff is not on the website. i did not know John would do the engine machining and cdi curves etc. Its great to know that he can do so, I was under the impression that Randy the Go to Guru all things polaris was gone along with the polaris product and know-how. thank you for the feedback in the past. we octards appreciate your help and hints from time to time, I have bought things from john (RCJS) in the past and will again, I look forward to contacting Watcon very soon.
