I’m running a Solas 148 pump now with 11/17 prop and an RRP reduction nozzle/trim kit. Not sure what this reduction nozzle diameter is when stock, but mine is at 90mm now, oddly with the steering nozzle only at 86... I just measured it when I upgraded to the 148 pump. I’m going to open that up to at least 91mm.
Anyways, I know most nozzles can’t even be bored close to 90mm. So in my quest to properly pump tune, what negative effects can too large of a exit nozzle have? I’m still dialing in a new et967 motor setup with the 148 pump so I’m still trying to fine tune everything. Any chance it could be unloading the pump too much too quickly and losing thrust?
