We were just talking about this tonight, how does the 62t nozzle with a 21 degree reduction compare to the 61x with the 25.5 deg in low end performance if both were at the same 82 mill bore
The 61X nozzle will load up quicker because of the steeper reduction angle and the 62T nozzle will have less resistance which will rev the engine quicker but the bottom end performance will depend on the engine torque curve, impeller type & pitch combination. You may need to consult with your engine builder to find out which might work better for you application or just perform back to back testing to find out which one will work the best with your setup. The same can be said with the exit nozzle size diameters. The larger sizes will move water more quickly which is great for bottom end acceleration but if the diameter is too large the exit velocity will slow down and may hurt your top end performance. The best way may be to perform your own testing with different nozzle types and diameters till you find out what works the best for your particular setup.
