Tips.

How did you do yours.

I'm already half way there, how do you remove the tube in the hull?
After Christmas i'll be off til Daytona so i'll have time to do this mod. Besides,I'm waiting on a solenoid.

I welded an extension on the outlet of my water box then cut a 2 ½” hole in the side then welded a piece of 2 ½” tube to that, this made my tee.
I purchased a radiator hose from the auto parts store and made and outlet out of T304 stainless steel. I have a flange on the inside of the hull that accepts the flat head machine screws that holds the outlet to the hull.

I have an X-metal front exhaust, an X-metal T and the same radiator hose as above.

Chucky hooked me up with the parts and Pat welded it up on the spot so that the RN waterbox with T fit my square like a glove.

Thanx guys.

Unpopular opinion is also welcome. Still not changing my mind, i will have a custom front exhaust B4 Daytona.

I grew up with 2stroke smoke in my face, it's not so bad. I dont like all the traveling the exhaust does. I know there's no benefit i just like it better. Loud pipes never bothered me before, you should hear my Mustang Five oh. That sucker is loud too.

Keep your pics comming please.

The noise and smoke is a factor but the ability to get moving quickly after a tail landing is priceless.

I aimed my outlet down as much as I could and the smoke never hits my face if I'm standing.

A quality modification that we cant see, since you now must ride to his starboard.

just put a restrictor in the hose for noise control.i'm going to fab a one way valve to insert in the hose so it's shut when riding and only opens when exhaust pressure gets too high as in a tailstand.

My Freestyle RN has x-metal front exhaust, but on my surf boat I elected to go Side Rear x-metal exhaust instead of front/rear exhaust combination.

The side rear exhast should keep the exhaust away from the pump arear during tail landings without the noise of front exhaust.

We will see....:baby:

never had that problem with my superjet powered by jetworks:Banane19:

:haha:
A direct attack on my motor, how cute.

Maybe I should rephrase for the "speed challenged" amongst us.

"The noise and smoke is a factor for somebut the ability to get moving quickly after a tail landing is priceless."

I personally love the sweet sound and smell of a well built motor.

Smoke dont bother me either. I like the smell.

I wonder if this mod will hinder preformance? The outlet is smaller diameter than the waterbox outlet. The same size as the dry pipes outlet. I'm thinking (in theory) the smaller outlet will hurt top speed preformance but will slightly help low end grunt. I dont care about top speed anyway.

Pics soon to come.

No turning back now. I'm only out $13.00 in suplies so far and it looks like i'll be able to do this in a few days after Christmas. Most of the parts i has or fabricated to fit. I still gotta wait for that stinkin solinoid anyway so time for hull work while it's down.

I think i'll be using the exit from another 650SX hull. It's bigger than the OceanPro on i got. I made a reducer out of 2 hoses and a sleeve between a clamp. Should work fine.
