First off I just ordered novi carbs just want to say tim from novi is great to do business with he knew exactly what I needed I payed Sunday and got my Beautiful novi carbs on Wednesday in san diego. That was quick my question is what is the little plastic y thing with a carb jet screwed into it for and then I'm accustomed to smaller carbs with off set bolt hols how do you attach them to the manifold with the bolt holes directly below the shaft studs and nuts

Run both return lines into the plastic y with the jet.

As far as the nuts go, lift the carbs off the mani a little bit and start the nuts. Keep threading them on little by little until the carb can seat and the nut will bottom out.

the jet acts as a restrictor for the return line. did he give you installation intructions?

I dont Think I saw any in the box but I was more Mesmerized by pretty red carbs why does the y need restriction more fuel pressure.

because Novi drills out the built in Mikuni restrictor in the carbs. There needs to be pressure (5 psi I think?) on the return line. Read this manual to get a basic understanding of how the super BN works. Notice the restictor in the return line on the diagram. They drill that out.
