Not impressed with my RRP

Just got back from taking the boat out. Man this thing rips...sweet jebus! :brap:

It sounds like it's missing every once in while. I'm not sure if this is a tuning problem or something else. It only happens about 1/4 throttle. I'm going to try some new plugs tomorrow and see what happens.

High and low speed are at 1 1/4 turn out if I remember right

On my b pipe the top screw is open 1 turn middle and bottom screws are closed.

My pop off gauge doesn't seem to want to work so I turned out my flow controller 3 or 4 turns.

I love the x metal steering. It's nice havening a boat that turns on a dime.

As for my RRP...I still hate it. I wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy's. I"ll put up with it this year but next year I'll probably get an x metal pole like I should have done it the first place.

Let's get together and ride sometime. I got an X-Metal pole + X-Metal steering setup, so you can try it out.

Sounds good. I'm pretty tied up this weekend but on the 30th or 31st we should meet up somewhere. I'll try to talk my buddy into coming along with his 750 if he isn't acting like a vajay-jay.

I went out today with new plugs..man it runs awesome! It still has a miss at 1/4 throttle but when you goose it to pops out the water and goes. I'm wondering if it's the chitty Arco gas I'm using. I'm going to try some chevron fuel to see if that helps or maybe some av gas.

no, but my pivot bushings don't fit and aren't even close... I'd rather take the bushings down a hair than clean out the holes in the lower bracket.... corrosion central if I take that route....

Is there a thread with pole weights? UMI vs AC vs RRP vs Xmetal?

I just have an old school AC Racing -2 pole with UMI spring, limit rope, 24-7 CF chinpad, WDK bracket and STOCK turnplate w/ 0 degree bars. Everything bolted right up, it doesn't break, I see no reason to go elsewhere.

At first I thought the same thing about the bushings being very tight and not even close to fitting... If you notice the bushing should be tapered at the edge to help get the started in the pole. I have had good luck using a "Quick grip" clamp as a mini press and they went right in. Along with the clamp you can put the bushings in the freezer for a couple hrs before installing them that may also help!

To get my bushings in I put the pole between two chunks of 2 X 4 with the bushings lined up and beat the living piss out of it with a large hammer until they were pressed in.

Nothing like dropping a $grand$ on a part and then beating the living F%&K out of it to make it work. I guess if one had access to a hydraulic press the story would be different. Good Luck!
