Not impressed with my RRP

What pile of chit! I've had nothing but problems trying to get the bracket and pole installed. Now it turns out my brand new xmetal steering is clearly not going to work...unless I'm missing a part...who knows.

Looks like I'll have to buy an over priced chitty steering plate, to go with my over priced chitty handle pole and bracket. Hopefully there will be no directions or they will be vague at best and I'll probaly have to modify that to make it work too! Thanks Dick Roy!

did you plan any of this out before you ordered everything? or did you order random :):):):) in the hopes everything would bolt right up?

a simple call to x-metal would have alleviated most of your problems

a very reputable seller on these forums...thats who told me....and what advice would the parts makers give me???

Here's your $1000 pole....sorry your missing some nuts and bolts.....oh and we threaded both sides of your bracket so you'll have to drill out one side so you can slide the handle pole bolt through to the threaded side. Also have fun installing the breather tubes and assembling the bracket. I have included vague instructions with your handle pole and as for your bracket..... ummm good luck!!!!!

P.S I hope you didn't piss away a bunch of money on a great steering system that won't work with the pole....you'll need my expensive setup to make it work.

somebody seems a little upset.

did you try pouring gas on it and lighting it on fire? cuz that's what I would have done.

What do you expect! After getting the pole and seeing the construction of it I don't think it's worth it....guess I should of tried to find some with this setup to see if I liked it or not. Seems like the more expensive the part is the more of a pain in the ass it is to install and get to work.

Maybe I need this as well http://www.thrustinnovations.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=8&products_id=82

I'm super happy with my RRP. It looks bad ass and is extremely functionable. I had zero problems putting my UMI/Blowsion steering setup on it. I'm so happy with the pole setup that I decided to go with the RRP steering setup and riser bars!

Welcome to the world of aftermarket jet ski parts! Almost every part I've installed I've had to re-engineer in some way.

I know alot of people with that pole set up and the ONLY issue I've seen come up is chin pads not fitting right.

what ever it is, I'm betting is something simple and stupid.

Relax, take a breath, drink some beer, try again.

Post up pics....before drinking beer.. I understand your frustration especially spending $$$ like this..but i bet there are reasonable solutions !!
Anyway if you need to convert to different steering system let me know , I have an x metal pole which would be delighted to have x metal steering system on it.

I ordered the complete RRP set from bracket to bars
For a AM jetski part I felt it was the best AM product I have seen in a long time.
No hole drilled or instructions for useing a pole spring is the only issue I have
