Not getting full power and has some bog

Didn't have time to cut my plug wires yet but ran it at the lake to test spark after it warmed up and it ran great. I tried running 93 oct instead of 90. Either my issue is intermittent and I just didn't catch it or she just likes 93 more. I did test spark at operating temp (muffler and water coming from pisser being hot) and spark was bright and strong. If I have to run 93 to keep the ski running good im okay with that but I feel like a stock ski should run fine off 90. Going to ride it more this weekend with 93

Raising octane in the fuel will not fix a bogging situation , not on a stock compression ski anyway

I retract that statement it might if you wre trying to run three year old gas.

Octane not a fix...... Unless you just had bad gas like Terry said. Pull the plug caps and check the wires...... Ski can run just fine with broken wires. It will make you pull your hair out thinking it is something else.......... Do you have a primer? Be sure the ski is not sucking air.......... check fuel line connections. Same issue can happen.

I had one doing this on a Kawasaki TS before, broken wires as Big Kahuna said , it got progressively worse as it got hotter .

I took a razor and opened the wires up to have a look inside , in a section about 12 inches long it was broken in more than ten places.

Stock plug wires are crap from the factory , especially stock Kawi plug wires.

Ran good over the weekend besides the random stalling and hard starting after that. Now I will get to my sparkplug wires this week lol. I appreciate everyone's feedback

Cut the wires back and they looked clean. Replaced the boots and terminals, fired it up on the trailer and it seems like it's backfiring after giving it some gas. Kinda narrowing it down to cdi, coil, stator, hopefully not a stripped woodruff. I'm just not sure where to start and not sure how to figure out exactly which part is bad

Unless the ignition is way off backfiring is usually a sign of a lean condition , if it is running lean it won't make full power.

The 32T raider - Waveventure engine is something I have a lot of time tuning for different setups.

Running lean would also explain your bogging condition , are the low speed screws really only 1 1/4 turn out from fully seated ?

Stock settings are at 5/8 a turn which is way too lean , they will barely start up without running the battery down at those settings .

I usually set those at about 1 turn to 1 1/4 turns from the factory settings then those engines actually crank up without the choke and run well especially out of the hole , how hard is the ski to crank , do you have to use a primer to start it , if so again for that particular engine too lean.

That stock 701 61X pipe is most likely not going to run that well with your particular engine, it needs something that breathes much better, even the stock 62T pipe has way less restriction and better scavenging than the stock 61X exhaust system does , you are choking that engine way down by running that pipe. what you have is kinda like sticking a small pin in an X2 with the 650 pipe and manifold , way less than optimal performance guaranteed.

I can't give you good jetting instructions for that setup but set the low speeds at 2 turns out and see how it starts and runs, if that's too much go in 1/8 a turn at a time till it pulls off the bottom cleanly , at those low speed settings you will have to readjust the idle speed up some to get it to idle, try it, what have you got to lose ?

It will fire up without touching the primer. I wouldn't mind messing with the screws again and go from there. Better than throwing random parts at it for now

A buddy let me use an oem coil, I ended up having some Chinese one in there. Ran great on his coil for a little until it stalled after rippin around then wouldn't start back up. Blew the glass fuse after trying to get it started again. Had a buddy tow the ski in and the bow was plowing so it took on a bunch of water, all the way up to the top of the motor. Just got it running (rough) after turning it over without the plugs in. Going to put new gas in it and hopefully it will run good enough to get back to my original issue
