FX-1 Noob looking at a FX-1

Hi Folks,

Going to look at a 1995 FX-1 in a couple of days. I have two Seadoo couches (and replaced both engines), so I know my way around a PWC.

What should I be looking for on an FX-1....any weak points?

I believe compression should be around 135PSI @ sea level.

Any pointers?

Yeah read some of the thread's about the pump conversion's that's the draw back to the fx-1's. I have a fx-1 in my shop with a new 701 in it and a bonzai bob pump conversion and it did not even get rode this year the owner likes his SN more. The fx-1 was built to dethrone the JS 550 SX if that tell's you anything lol
