Other noob exhaust questions

So I'm just getting into the standup scene, and I got a couple noobie questions. What exactly is a B pipe, (In the motocross world i'm just used to a header and a silencer) and I've seen a couple skis with rear exit exhaust, is that stock or a custom application, and does that style use a wet or a dry pipe? thanks

The Factory B pipe is a wet pipe. It's probably the most popular pipe because it produces good power and is low maintenance. In jetski's, you have a "pipe" which includes exhaust manifold and expansion chamber. Some have other parts that are broken down a little further in head pipes but the head pipe is still part of the expansion chamber. After the pipe, jetski's have something called a waterbox. This is similar in function to a muffler but uses water to help silence the noise instead of crazy baffles and/or fiberglass and perforated metal.

Most jetski's are rear exhaust because it also helps silence the noise. Additionally, front or side exhaust puts exhaust in your face and oily residue all down the side of the hull.

Hopefully this helps.
