Custom/Hybrid no spark what to look for

I think that I maybe have found the problem today. I open up the heat shrink tubing that was around the cables to the pickup, and the white cable was'nt connected together properly. I'm going to solder them and then I hope it will work.

Ok I have solder them together now, but there is no green light when I turn the engine around. But as before when I disconnect the cable from the battery the green light come on and I also get spark from the plugs..
I'm so close to get a chainsaw and cut this piece of junk up and toss it in the trash.

Your comments are a bit harsh!!! If the green light is not coming on when you rotate the flywheel the pickup has probably gone down.
