No left turn?????

I thought I read a thread just like this, but searched to no avail. I put a RN pole on my SN. I finally got the thing in the water and it won't turn left(well it barely turns left if I crank the bars. If I hold the bars perfectly straight, I turn right. :261:

Still has the SN steering cable in it.

DAMMIT!! Is there any adjustment I can do? I tried all 3 holes on the turnplate.

Not sure if the SN to RN makes a difference, but if the cables are the same you can adjust it.There's adjustment nuts at both ends of the cable. You have to unhook the little barrels from the balls that they hook to and loosen the little hex nuts up. Then screw the barrel in or out depending on which way you need to go. Keep adjusting one end or the other until the nozzle is straight when your bars are.

right where the cable goes into the pole (at the top), there should be a little upside down U shape to hold the cable. Im guessing you dont have one, or it broke. Turn your bars, and see if you cable is bending, if so make a little bracket to hold it.

I know the thread you are talking about. It's pole problem thread. It sounds like the two responses that talked about adjusting your barrels would fix the problem though......not the one in the thread. Nonetheless, there it is if you need it.

yea the round nose pole has a different method to attach the cable to the pole.

the roundnose has the U thing like posted above and the square i think has a over glorified ziptie dohicky thing to hold the cable to the pole.

Thanks guys. I was able to get enough play by adjusting both ends as described. I am now left turn enabled. Look out Nascar, here I come.:icon16:
