LOL!
Well, this is not what I tell people in general when asked about it. I mumble something about a mishap while hammering/carpenting.
Man, this is stupid....well, anger management, seems like a good thing to learn!
My better half told me to throw things from now on when I am mad. Good advice....
Get one of these:

so do you have pins?

My buddy had a couple pins thru his fingers for a while because he broke em real bad when skateboarding. I couldn't even look at his hand with them little white capped things sticking out at lunch:bigeyes:

Hate to hear of injuries...get well soon and make sure you do your physical therapy when it is time. When I get caught up, I will see what I can do to get some figures on group insurance for everyone (gotta be a lot cheaper than what I currently pay for a personal policy...over $500 a month/PPO...I hate insurance companies with a MAJOR passion).

There are some type of pins/staples there. I was under when they did this so I really do not know. I know there are stitches, they need to come out this/next week. I let you know when I know more.

Been to the doctor today, removed the stitches, 10 in total. Heeling fine now, but it sure looked creepy having 2 pieces of metal poking out of my hand!
X-ray looked great, they put a new cast on that is more comfy as well.
Two more weeks in cast and then rehab starts…

Literally counting the hours now. My wife has been "glad" over my injury since I have all the time in the world for her now. No fixing jetskis, no riding bicycles and no jetskiing. I do walk a lot though. I walk to work and back, 30 minutes at a high pace each direction. Me and the mrs walk an hour or so each night, if the weather lets us. I actually think I've lost ½-1 inch around my waist the last month due to walking. Beach season of 2007, here I come!!!

Cast removed! Pins are out! :woot:
Now rehab starts. My hand is small, yellow, smelly and stiff. That need to change. Had my first appointment with a hand therapist as well. This will take time....damn....:aargh4:

Some pics, the faint of heart are duly warned!!!!

By now a few weeks have past. Still no jetskiing. Got more and more motion back in my hand, I have a program to follow, 4 times a day. I am not allowed to lift heavy objects, 1 lbs limit. I actually started riding my mountain bike again, just on tarmac, suspension fully active.
I'll meet the doctor today, I hope to be "released to full duty".
Below is a current photo of the carnage, healing nicely...

Going jetskiing tomorrow, on our national day.
I'll be careful, no subs or other tricks...
