next engine mod recomendation?

got a 96 freestyle superjet w b-pipe, msd, milled head, ported, bored 2 over, lightened flywheel, dual exhaust,k&n - got a grand or 2 to spend on the motor- what would be the next recomended mods for the motor
carbs,reeds , intake?
cylinders,cases?
pump
any advantage to a girdled head over milled- currently its running fantastically w abot 170 lbs comp

would consider using race gas

Sounds like you have a really strong set up already. I think maybe you could go with a B/B 785cc kit, and or a good intake carb set up. If you go with the bigger bore and more aggressive porting I would highly recommend a girdled head. You don't want to break that new cylinder!
If your going to take it all the way down, port the case's as well.
Flow Control Valve on the stinger?, dries out the water box.Good for bottom end response!
Do you have the exhuast manifold/head pipe matched/opened up to atleast 47mm? You could go bigger, but I would recommend someone who has done this before; to go much bigger, you don't want to hit the water jacket. Thats a good cheap mod that will help on power.Alot of the older FP's were smaller I believe it was 42mm.
Carbon Tech,s or V-Force Reeds
Good Impeller, i.e.... a hooker maybe?
Thats all I got right off the top of my head right now.
These are all opinions though. I'm sure more guys can give you some options/ideas.

get the team scream intake set up. It's 46 carbs modified by chucky, a worked over a/m intake and kawi reeds.

A guy I ride with only has that and a b-pipe and it hits better than some stokers.

that seems to be the concensus-a bigger carb and intake system

if i got the 46's this year, will those work w bigger bore cylinders the next year?

just curious -whats one of those x-scream 860 or 1000 motors cost?

Seriously, I'd give one (or a few) of the more well known builders a call and let them suggest which direction to head next. I am shopping around for some porting work this off season and have already talked to a few of them on the phone. They are great dudes and will talk your ear off when posed with the right questions.

That being said, I'd be leery about taking anything apart this time of year unless it's broken.

I forgot!
i got my dual 48's running on my 735, i know they can be run on much bigger motors so that is why i got them, i didn't want to upgrade as my motor gets bigger. bought them from blowsion, riva powerbombs, tuned them myself and love them. chuck's carb, and reed assembly is also a seriously nice setup and works amazing. i would look at the new novis and the full specs too. spend the coin on good fuel delivery and you won't regret it man. if your carbs aint the shiz then no matter your setup, your shizz be wizzieeek!

I got the kawi reeds and cages you can use for that mod...all three cages and reeds for $50 shipped.
