GASKETS FOR CHAMP BRAP!
Why do the 3 nuts on the back side that hold on the metal piece to the flapper hit the PVC when its slid all the way up to its stoppping flange, therefore holding the flapper open a bit.

or in other words maybe easier to understand, when the PVC is slid all the way into the base to its stopping flange it hits the nuts and holds the flapper open a bit.

It doesnt make sense. I would think it would of been best to be able to slide the PVC to where it stops and then the flapper seals on the back side of that flange. That would be perfect.
What am i missing here?!?!

what schedule pvc did you use? i think anything over 20 is thicker than the inside flange of the scupper.

if the nuts/bolt threads are hitting the pvc, just take a dremel and grind the ID of the end of the pipe to match that of the scupper and itll close.

Its 2" schedule 40 gray elec conduit stuff.
So the schedule 20 PVC has a smaller I.D. and same O.D.? and will fit and clear the nuts and everything will work fine?

Duh, I didnt even think of that!:banghead: That will work too.
Thanks Charlie, and BTW - I heard it on the X! :headbang:
