once u unbolt the motor, it will slide forward about 2 inches and then lift out completely. (ull have to undo the wire that goes to the elctrical box from the starter motor(10mm) and disconnect the wires at teh elctrical box (2 10mm bolts and u lift of taht rounded cap and unplug 2 harnesses).. at that point u can just pull the drive shaft towards teh gas tank and it will slide right out (yes its splined). unbolt the stock pads on the sides of the tray area. glue some 8mm foam to the sides and wrap it all the way around the top of the rails. that way when u gllue ur hydro turf to it, the top of the turf will be flush with outside of the ski. (ull see what im talkin about when u unbolt those stock pads). the type of turf u use is entirely up to u, its all cosmetic-diamond, waffle, groove (minus the fact that it is wayyyy more grippier than stock and that will help keep ur feet in teh tray from slidding around). when doin the turf, use Wellwood RED contact cement. (not the green) coat both the ski and the backside of the turf let it dry (about 5 mins) and then stick it. carefull cause where ever it touches, thats where its gonna be. do ur self a huge favor and get a heat gun and heat up the turf. ud be amazed what u can do with this stuff, and not need to cut it, just mold it.
