650/X-2 Newbie from Arizona - 1990 650SX

New to the forum and this is my second ski, last one was a 1992 550 and kicked myself for selling it until this came across my path. Saw an ad on Craigslist, guy had this 1990 650SX for sale with no title, story was this sat in his Brothers Garage out in California for 16 years, he got it from a guy who owed him money. Guy was asking $ 225.00 with no title, said it was not stolen and no lien on it. Talked him down to $ 160.00 and brought it home. Found the California vessel certificate, called DMV and said it was no longer in there system. Contacted Arizona Game & Fish, they verified this and allowed me to Register it here which is the same as a title. Drained the old gas out, put in fresh plugs, and she fired right up - gotta say this thing is like brand new, rate it a 9 out of 10 for condition.

Anyways now time to do some basic mods such as a ride plate and impeller swap, any recommendations?

Nice ski that thing is brand new as for the ride plate jet dynamics there is not a better one on the market and the impeller it all depends if your gonna do any motor mods... If its gonna be a stock engine go with the skat 8/16 but i recommend a new carb and a factory pipe with a 9/17 skat prop mine has that set up and it rips
