Super Jet New

This is my first post and am new to things. I have a stock 06 superjet that's ready for some upgrades. I plan on doing footholds, reinforcement, trim kit, motor work, and possibly shorten the hull and handle pole. My questions are, best fitting footholds for size 11? Cheapest option for a trim kit? And lengths i should shorten both the hull and handle pole? Cheapest and most effective motor mods? Also if you have input on other things I should do that would be great. Appreciate any feedback you may have. Thanks

I wouldn't even bother with trim for surf buddy, it's a nice to have not need to have mod in my opinion. Plus you never learn to flip proprly if you are using trim all the time. I have full wraparound holds with 26mm padding on the top and my feet stay in pretty good, you just need to make sure you try your shoes in them whilst your are putting the holds in.

Ah cool then you may need trim lol. RRP do they're Rickter footholds for a superjet or even the BOB kit if you are cutting up the hull?

Cheapest trim kit I know of is from XScream, around $425.
You do need to buy a Raider style reduction and steering nozzle for the kit. Unless someone knows a way of modding the SJ Nozzles to work but I'm not sure. Also I'm not sure of how much throw you get with the XScream nozzle over other brands but they make awesome stuff.

I agree with roseand on the Tom21 holds. I don't have them but he sent me a pic and they look very roomy with a lot of space for padding.

As far as motor mods maybe start with a b pipe, jetting, 9/15 hooker prop, grate and ride plate. All depends on budget. Maybe call some of the bigger name shops for some input on we're to start modding. Zach at PHP, Thrust, and definently Jet Maniac pointed me in the right direction.

Here's a thread about footholds! Tons of pics and great info. http://www.x-h2o.com/index.php?thre...ff-your-trays-etc-bestfootholdsthread.145462/
and I second Zach & Jetmaniac. They have always been EXTREMELY helpful. If you need help with engine mods, call up Zack. He'd be glad to steer you in the right direction, and he's always answered any question I've had. The guy spends 30+ minutes on the phone with me and I didn't even mention buying anything! And jetmaniac has the fastest shipping & best customer service you could ask for. Great people to deal with :)
