That is true....
But when comparing a stock waterbox to a X-metal waterbox with both skis out of the water..... the x-metal will be much louder..... if you are riding on a private lake with neighbors its probably not a good mod..... other then that it is fuggin awsome.....
The x-metal vs the stock dry is about a 4lb savings..... when in the boat I imagine the savings is even better as the x-metal holds less water...
This has probably been one of the best mods I have done to my ski, as fas as saving weight...... oh yea, and I realy like how it sounds..... couldnt imagine how good this new one sounds..:woot:
