New Xmetal Steering setup !

Complete steering kit...bars, clamps, plate and bushings $160.
The first will be in daytona ! In production now.
From my experince with it, it is very very strong. Does not wear.
Steering is simple and very light !
The Bushing material is some killer NASA style stuff !

NYLATRON: Nylatron proprietary formulations ( GSM, GSM-Blue, NSM ) contain solid lubricants that impart toughness, low coefficient of friction, and good abrasion resistance and make it an ideal replacement for a wide variety of materials from metal to rubber. It weighs only 1/7 as much as bronze. Using Nylatron reduces lubrication requirements, eliminates galling, corrosion, pilferage problems, and improves wear resistance and sound dampening characteristics. Nylatron is an excellent replacement for bronze bushings and is also commonly used for gears, sheaves, sprockets, wheels, wear pads, slide pads, thrust washers, and FPSO bushings.

Can you get the parts to up grade from the umi? I have an xmetal pole and turn plate.

there actually needs to be a counterbore made in the current turn plate to capture the bushing. simple mod for your local machine shop, or send it to us.

Any turn plate can be utilized (except stock)

Simple things seam to work the best so I know sooner or later I will be getting this setup. Perhaps when I pick up my X-metal pole for my funky purple RN.:sneaky:

It will work on any pole. We would have to get a single dimension to verify, but no problem..

I wouldn't be Polak bashing if I were you, we are strong and united (without unity we would be in the dark after a light bulb burns out, you know). Just keep our unity in mind the next time you need something machined.

Since you mentioned that hull, I actually might know someone who would be interested. He wanted to buy a handle pole early next year but was told that they don't look right on squares. :biggrin:
