New X-2 guy

Hey everyone i just got my first x-2 the other day and hoping to get it in the water soon. for whatever reason it seems to missing the, what i think is the starter relay. is there a cheep alternative to this? this is the part that missing from my ski, am i wrong?

different years run different ebox setups.

the one pictured should have rectifier & solenoid in it i believe

the older style ones only had the solenoid

im not sure on the year... i haven't the paperwork on it yet. I traded a gun for the ski... here is a picture of it.

looks like you might be lucky n it could be a 94-95

its definately not a 86

I looks like that ski has been sitting half full of water for a while. You may be able to get it running as it is but it needs a complete inspection/overhaul for any kind of reliability.

you are right about that. water was in the haul. the motor is only 3hrs old and i took the plugs out and i could get my hand on the driveshaft and was able to turn it. i tried to put power to the starter and its grounding out. so im thinking that i might pull the motor and clean it all and replace the starter and see whats what. half the vin# is gone from the back so where would i find another one so i can find out the year?

There should be one underneath the battery tray.

Yeah I seen that last night. Turns out the starter is thrashed so I need a new one of them too.
