red Pure XCR hubs/rims, black spokes/nipples from Bicycle Wheel Warehouse. They should look good on my white/black KHS plus I have some red ODI clamps I can toss on too.

How much did you pay?

I am a bit dismayed that the front wheel on my Trek 7.3 is very slightly out of true already. Perhaps a sign of the transition from a beater MTB to a sleek "almost" road bike.

I bought a bike trailer the other day to pull my youngest, Ben, around with me. He loves it.

Just under $400 shipped.

Sealed cartridge bearings, red anodizing, should be a very nice upgrade from my current set. My current set are the oem set from a Kona Dawgmatic or something from 2005 I think, very basic wheels. I paid $60 for them used.

You can get a decent set of wheels from BWW for $100-150 but really take it back to your dealer to get them to true the wheels.

Heh, finally in UPS' hands yesterday. They were done Friday, I got my shipping notice but the tracking never updated beyond Billing Info Received. I called yesterday and the owner said he'd check into it and mumbled something about a few other customers getting the same thing and that he would be pissed if they forgot to give the boxes again.

I'll survive, it's so hot/humid lately that I haven't wanted to ride much anyway, plus my road tires should be here tomorrow. I'm going to try road riding with 100psi tires on it, but may have to put a big ring back on for that as I bet I'll spin out the 32x11 gearing pretty quick.

Heh....I ride on 110psi. 32's on 700's.
So much easier than the fatter tires on my old Walmart special. I wish I had a bike computer. I estimate I ride at least 50 miles per week now.
Now if only I could find a bike trailer for Ben that doesn't fall apart after one ride.

Computers are cheap, you can get cheap ones at Wally World.

We bought a trailer from Target a few years ago, It has held up just fine!

Granted, I cannot remember the last time I pulled Izzy around on it.

Once your riding, it really is not bad, if you take a break, and start back, you actually get a bit chilled from the wind. I have been wearing an Underarmor sleeveless shirt (Heatgear??) that works really well.

Hmmm, I looked at Walmart and couldn't find anything there.
The first trailer we bought at Walmart. It broke during assembly. I exchanged it, only to have that 2nd one break after one ride.
Done with that crap. :(

I'm tubeless on my $60 set currently and will probably do it on the new set but put tubes in the road tires.
