Custom/Hybrid New WDK Envy hull Yamaha Based build

Got out to the shop finally this weekend. I had to modify these rev footholds. Oh they were so uncomfortable for me. So cut em', shaped em', and glassed em'. Now they will accomadate my 25mm underpad with some 8mm pad and turf on top. I had contemplated putting in my own set of foot holds I made custom last yr, but these were already in and with just a few short hours had them where I think they will work.

Also got my SJ steering plate fit up to the X-Metal pole. I had the x metal adjustable steering plate, and straight bars but with all that and the -2 pole it was way too short for me. So got it now right where it needs to be; pretty much the same local as on my SJ with the -2-1/2" cut pole. Plus now I can run my UMI bars instead of killing my wrist with the straight ones. Took the ole dremmel to the SJ plate and cut out a few oz. of weight too. LOL!!

looks beautiful . I have always wanted a ski to match my truck . I would put some ss logos on the ski aswell... oh yeah get rims on your trailer to match your truck:Banane09:

Thanks Chad. You, Tom, and Luke need to get down here this year, or maybe we could get a weekend up there. We'll see if we can get Keegan or Kyle to get the 55ft cruiser out. We all can try and get some backies off it!!:splatt:

I'll have to get a longer tounge, and a whole lot bigger fenders on the trailer to get it in the water with 24's on it. LOL!!!

OOO.....I got the Shinnin" on

Got to work this morning, Decided to use my 30 min. break for productivity....for me. Got some nice shiny parts now. Had just a brushed finished, and clear my stator cover, but decided to get her shining for this season. And after spending several painstaking hours cleaning tha crappy powder coating off my chamber got it polished as well. The pic is from my camera phone so not the clearest but ya get the idea.

That's an awesome paint booth. Do you work at a paint shop?

Well you could kind of say that..... Im actually a Supervisor at a Limousine Manufatcuring facility. So we got it all here under one roof. Metal shop, body shop, paint shop, plastic shop, fiberglass shop (bonus), wood shop, upholstery shop, etc.... you get the idea. It definitely has its perks. But also has its crap. LOL!!

Thanks! LOL...Yeah, tell me about it; I almost gave up on it. I was so tired of trying to remove that powder coating, I contemplated feather sanding out the spots I had removed, and just paint the stupid thing. But now Im glad I stuck with it. I mean shoot it's gotta add like 5 more horsepower, right?:fing02:

Tonight I was finally able to get the pump in. I got my impellor back from Impros after a refurb, and installed. Got the trim mounted and cable hooked up. I just placed/set the ride plate on to see how it looks. A few pics for visuals. he,he.

StReeeeeTcHeD Scoop grate

Last night I was able to get my Scoop grate lengthend.Cut the front half off of one I had that was broke, and added it to the good one. It was about 1-3/4" too short of course.
So before I flipped it over and got to work, stuffing parts inside; figured I better do it the easy way with the ski upside down. With this done the bottom, or pump area is now complete. Here are a few pics of before and right after, Got it all cleaned up and ready for paint late lastnight, going to paint it orange to match the ride plate. I forgot to snap a done pic before I went in, but you get the jist of it. Just need to get the grate painted.

Okay, I feel like I got a lot of stuff done today. I was super motivated with it being 90* outside, definitiely got me in the mood to get this thing done!! I'll do a couple post here as to not clog up on with a bunch of info.

So first thing this morning I got my e box brackets made, and the ebox mounted nicely to the bulk head. My new coil will be here tomorrow so I can button it all up and mounted for the final time hopefully tomorrow night.

After I got the ebox done for now, painted my couch motor mounts black. Had to get rid of that hideous yamah drab olive green. What were they thinking on that color?

After that I decided to work on this new pretty white SJ gas tank. So hacked the neck off and made it into an internal fill. Talk about puckering on destroying a new tank!!
I decided to add 6 extra screws around the filler neck to help hold it, and seal it all down nice, and tight with the rubber gasket underneath it. For the pick up tubes, I am going to utilize the old filler neck. The cap/fuel tube grommet fits into it nice and snug, and clamps on perfect. Did a pressure test on it and it passed wonderfully.
I need to get some fuel line and put on the end of the tubes, with some prefilters on them. I figured with the hose's in the tank they should flop around inside the tank on any side that the ski is on and still suck fuel so kind of a good thing I figured.

Got the water box in and fit as well, cut some pieces of turf and made a nice cushion for it underneath, and I needed to have something to hold the gas tank from sliding back into the strap hooks. I needed something like the rubber mount that bolts down below the tank in the stock SJ hull.
So I took it out off the SJ hull and made a super quicky fiberglass one off of it. Worked out really good. Need to sand it and paint it to match the inside of the hull, then I can just glue it in and wall-Ah. done!

I have a had a little time to work on the ski, so here are a few pics from the last two nights. I got the engine set in Wed. night. Then last night, hooked up the water lines to the exh. manifold. Glued in my little tank stop, holder thingy I made, and put some turf down for under the tank. I just set the tank in for pics and didn't strap it down yet cause the glue wasn't 100% dry yet, and I didnt want it to slide out of place. Hopefully if all goes well tonight get the head pipe on and chamber installed, and get some mor water lines ran.
