Yes this helps alot. I will check out my bilge tomorrow, and like you I will go with a manual switch.
What do mean by hyrdoturf or did you mean hydroturf? Is this readily available? I try a search to see what you mean.
Besides the obvious rubber coolant lines in the engine compartment; the ones between the exhaust manifold, head, waterbox, etc.. Are there also steel oolant lines that run through the entire hull that may need to blown out? I have read on some peeps X2 builds that they had to replace steel coolant lines because they were junk.
I did already think of checking my piston wash, but I am not sure if that WestCoast head on my motor is O-Ringed or gasket. I can not see a gasket, but I do not have one right now to replace if it does. I need to order a gasket set though and/or a set of what will be coming on and off frequently.
