Super Jet New to building starting a project

Hello i am new to the whole building side of these things and would love some advice and maybe some help if you all are willing. First off im starting with a squarenose hull that i got hooked up with from stanton. i am going to build it from the ground up and would appreciate any advice you guys can give maybe which motor and pump setup and maybe some how too. I really appreciate any help or advice you can give. one question is a guy around me is selling brand new solas complete 12 vein pumps for just over 100$ is this a good price and a good pump? will it give me more hookup? thank you guys again hope to get to bbe part of the xh20 family

A solas for 100$?! Sounds stolen to me.... anyway, I'm rocking a sn with a 701 and a solas mag and I love it. Honestly you should go for a 701 with a stock pump first. It will make you learn to properly use the ski and pump waves. If you mess up, you "burn out" or cavitate. Once you really know how to ride, then move to a mag pump and you will actually feel the difference. You can ride sloppy and it just hooks up every time

yea it was a scam damn craigslisters. i have two years riding experience and can do a few things thats why i asked about an aftermarket pump! thank you for the advice zyxwvu44 i would appreciate any help you guys can offer.


hey you guys are from cali know anybody with any spare parts laying around that they want to sell i pretty much am going to have a bare hull so i need pretty much everything lol thanks again guys

jetmaniac and Ski Bonez are two guys on here that have everything you need. you can also look into buying a wave raider or Yamaha couch with a 701 for the engine and electronics if you can find one cheap. ive got some parts too.

Ive got 62t cases, some electronics parts,WDK footholds(might still need) stock pump stator, and boxes of stock stuff ( exhausts, heads, turnplates, molding)

Ill let it go cheap. If I were you and since you just have a hull, send ski bonez a private message when you have 6 posts and see if hes got any 61x motors complete with electronics, exhaust, long exhaust hose, roundnose waterbox, roundnose pole, midshaft and complete pump. You can get a hazard bracket for your square that fits the roundnose pole. The roundnose pole is a lot nicer and easier to shorten. It will be cheaper in the long run to just buy a used motor then piece one together.

yea i was planning on trying to find a complete motor and electronics just trying to get the other stiuff im going to need. how much do you think all the stuff you said to get from ski bonez would cost?


and i saw that ski for sale almost bought it looks good thank you guys for the help

oh nice now if i understand right a short block is everything minus carb and exhaust stuff. Sry about all the questions just a newbie lol.
What kinda price were you thinking for the stuff you have cuz im actually gonna be in yuba on the 18th of january my grandparents live up there
