Super Jet New Superjet, Footstraps and Bilge Pumps

I just picked up a low hour 08 superjet. Motor was nearly locked up when I got there, salt water had gotten in the gas tank, clogged the carbs and did it's work on the crank bearings. I took care of it all and dumped plenty of oil into the crankcase and the motor sounds pretty good now! Got a damn good deal, so on to my question..

Im coming from a 750, I was running WDK Revs that I kept slipping out of it. I stand 5'8" weigh 138 lbs and reaching for the bars in the holds actually starts to hurt my lower spline. Im thinking foot straps for surf stance, I think I would feel more comfortable and I wouldnt have to rip up the new tray my superjet has.. Any recommendations on the Dakine straps? I see a few different ones there. Adjustability is a must.

I need a bilge pump, what switches are you all running? Alot of you said bad about the handlebar switches but the one on my Kawi took alot of salt water.. Unless there's a better option here?

i used dakine footstraps on my square for awhile, very comfortable and easy to install. they straps were also very stong and withstood a beating. blowsion superjet ignition mount bilge switch also works well, idrk about how it is in salt water cause ive only been to the ocean once and made sure everything was cleaned off but since then i have never had a problem.

For what I paid, I dont care if it will go boom. It's a shame, the guy claimed the ski had 3 hours on it and I really do believe him, the ski looks like it was never used. I think i'll try to get some use from this crank, when it blows ill go for full rebuild. Im gonna put an hour meter, we should takes guesses how many hours until this crank grenades lmao.

youll be way more pissed when it wipes out your cases too. I'll have a set for sale by then lol.... put a fresh crank in it with the stock pistons.

Its not that much money. crank seals, crank and gaskets. You can re-use everything else.

just jumping wakes in general, the rev's were large and rubbed the crap out of my ankles. Im wearing booties, i've felt pretty comfortable in them so far. I took it to the ramp yesterday for a test run and I think im gonna put footholds and a front strap. I was missing them the whole time. After riding it, I feel like I want to go this direction, like what this guy has but with a front strap http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/68159-2006-Superjet-for-Sale-(NY)-w.-Mods-4500-FIRM

My first time on a superjet.. Wow, this thing handles amazing. Awesome.

haha im getting seatow if i go out with this motor. lets see, kawi ran out of gas maybe twice, burnt up my electrical + smashed the nose. Maybe 3 times? Twice was close to the ramp. Ran out of gas 100 ft from the ramp that day.. Blew my motor 10 ft from the ramp.. but no matter what i was on the water the next day, hustling that :):):):). teddy dont forget how many land tows ya got this year haha cracked axle, lost wheel bearing. you have trailer troubles, i got ski troubles it worked like that.

im pumped for next year. got some fresh toys, no more harley, no more kawi. Allllll yamahas.. Should be pretty wrench free.
