Super Jet New SJ Rider needing tips

Hey guys, I have joined the ranks and stood up! I have been riding a blaster for 3 years and decided it was time to make the leap to get off my butt. I bought a 91 sn sj from a good guy and it works great.

I was looking for some riding tips. I had it out this weekend, I can stand and do little hops and make wide turns. I am still not really sure how to hammer into a turn and or proper foot placement, slide turn etc.

Any tips you can give me would be appreciated.

just keep trying. All of those things will come to you. I know some tricks have proper ways of doing them but just riding around taking corners are something you'll have to get comfortable with.FOr me it was. I watched a bunch of videos and just started copying some of the things the other riders where doing. I feel like when I watched some of the older freestyle videos I learned a bunch of small tricks when riding. Like riding with one foot forward ( surf stance) helped my balance. Put your weight over the bars more instead of leaning back. Also throttle control. You dont hear many people saying that but I think once you learn how to control your throttle it makes riding a lot easier. Usually when a friend gets on my ski he either wants to pin the throttle or feather it. Which usually causes them to fall off. You have to find that in between. Wamilton.com has a video that was pretty helpful to me. It talked about tapping the throttle in sperts and when to clear out your waterbox. Sorry if this doesnt make much since. Maybe the normal locals on here can chim in.. Good luck with your superjet. Congrats
