Super Jet New SJ paint flaking

First history on the ski, 2010 Superjet bought new from dealer May 21, 2011 I have had it out 6 times with about 25 hours on the ski. Trailer uses a winch strap and ski has never been beached I have only used beach stand with turf on the rails. I noticed a few small nicks in the paint on the bottom hull under the bow eye when loading up the ski about two weeks ago and thought nothing of it. When loading up the ski yesterday after about a 5 hour ride you can see what it looks like now in the pic.

My question is should I leave it and see what happens, take it to the dealer and see what they say, just marinetex it to prevent further flaking.

Yamaha in their infinite wisdom paints the hulls with no prep work, the mold release in the material the hull is made of prevents a good bond from being made to the hull. The result is what you are seeing on your new hull, paint that peels off.

It seems the later model years peel worse. 03+

my 04 doesnt have any just peeling off like that. all my scratches and missing paint it from abuse and beaching

I have a 2010. And I think the paint started to come off the bottom in spots in first week. I wouldn't worry about it. It's just paint.
