I just sold my trusty bikes. I had a 06 Specialized Stumpjumper Expert and a 06 Gary Fisher Cake 2 DLX. A guy at work was interested in both so I unloaded them together. I really can't complain about either bike so it wasn't a real great need that I sold them for, but I was able to grab a brand new rig this year. I got a Cannondale RZ one-twenty. I'm trying to get it all dialed-in for riding this weekend. The Lefty fork may take a bit of time to get used to. I really liked the Fox Talas forks on my stumpy. As far as components go the stumpy had better components than the new rig...gonna miss those Avid Juicy brakes/XTR derailers/Fox suspension. We'll see how it all goes down. I saved a few pounds with the new rig...published weight was right around 27 lbs.

Having a back-up bike sure was nice though. Hope I don't break this thing anytime soon.

Nice....is Crackandfail still using Hayes brakes?
Special...it depends on the model. This one came with Hayes vs. the new Avid's, but I got a lefty instead of Avid's. I've got a work bud that cracked two brand new Gary Fisher HiFi 's this past year. I've never heard about Cannondale's failing...who knows. About 99.9% of all my riding is single track here in Ga. I doubt I'll ever stress a frame enough to crack it. That said, Mcdog cracked a Specialized frame a couple years ago on these same trails.

Didn't mean to infer that your bike will crack....it's just a slang name for Cannondale. I did break one Cannondale frame, but the factoory was pretty good about replacing it. Enjoy your new ride!!

Looks good.

I have a hard time with the LEFTY, it goes against everything that you are use to! But they work. Didn't I see that the internals are now designed and built by Fox?

I have not been to Blankets Creek since late February. Got to make another trip up there!

finally weighed it tonight...27.5 lbs. Not to bad for bone stock. I may try to shave a few ounces with thinner tires when these wear out. I've looked at other weight savers, but my riding skills don't warrent too many lightweight-expensive-eye candy add ons.

Nice bike. The lefty is an awesome fork, and is actually very stiff. My 7" travel dual crown flex's more than the lefty.

Cannondale got a bad rap for some their frames cracking, almost all company's have some, especially those who try to keep the bike on the lighter side. I think crack and fail is just catchy so it stuck. I ride a 2002 Cannondale Gemini that is supposed to have snapped in two by now and I've cased or flatted many 8ft drops its still holding strong.

Go Tubeless. You will dump a fair amount. You could also go to lighter wheels.

When I got my Titus it weighed around 29 lbs. You could not really tell it was that heavy because the way it rode.

I got some Stan's Arch Wheelsets, with XT Cassette, Put a SLX Crankset on it. And went tubelss since the Stan's comes setup for tubless. Bike is now around 26-26.5 bls.
