new proto mech problems

We are developing a new prototype PWC, if you were near Alum creek, (Columbus, OH) you may have seen it. We're keeping it on the QT, until we iron out the bugs. The comments I get from people are typical, "what is that?", "it's so small, how can it float?", "that thing looks cool", etc... the guy,at the docks that asked how it floats, as i told him, "right now it's strapped to a ~180lb trailer, and it's floating the trailer". We have patent pendings on the idea, but the business world is full of people with bad intentions. So, I can't disclose pictures of the idea yet...

I got a tease of how well it could proform 1 (and only 1) time (for about 2 min.) it did a really cool power slide.

Of all the other times we took this 'Samba' out for a test dive (6) it's been frustrating, always mechanical problems. Originally,we were extremely tight on space, so we modified the exhaust manifold. Realizing after we scorched a set of rings, so we went back to stock manifold.

Now, it's basically a stock KAW650 engine setup, but we're having the same problem that's been there from day one. We installed new rings, and (while it was on the trailer) and seatting the rings, I noticed (again), that it's not revving full RPM's. We've gone thru everthing except electronics.

Is there an electrical component that, if failing, would keep it from revving?

it rev's great when not under load!? only stinger 'bend modifications' and no waterbox, straight out back.

someone had a bunch of sx's sittin around

I'm looking at a 750 now since i'm having so many probs w/ this engine. I was going to just drop another 650 in (cheaper than going around circles, troubleshooting) but thought why not take it to a 750?
