new plastics and pads question

Hello, first post, good to be apart. Im in the process of aquiring a 96 sj and its the white and purple theme. Not my two favorite colors and i will be doing a custom job. Im looking to replace all the parts that are purple which include the gunwales, pads, and controls. Anyone know whether you can paint the plastics. I know i prolly have to replace the pads. Just looking for some advice from peeps who have transformed there purple sj's in the past.

POst in the WTB section. Blowsion has black trim pieces too, or a yami dealer, but prepare to pay big $ from Yami.

I have the corner pieces for the tray only.

yes, you can paint the plastic but it does not hold up well. you are better off turfing the top of the gunwhale and the bond line.
